Description

"Medical Education: The Crucible (Impact of Change on GME Programs)" is a PowerPoint presentation of 64 slides created and presented by Dr. Charles W. Hilton (Associate Dean for Academic Affairs 1997-2023) on August 24, 2007.

Dr. Hilton led the school’s restoration of graduate medical education and resident education programs after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. This presentation includes program fulfillment timelines and strategies, resident program details and locations, images of damage sustained by the New Orleans campus, and reports on enrollment and resident placement from 2004 to 2008.
