Abstract

3D printing is a technology that has been emerging since the 1980s; however, practical uses are bringing it to the forefront of manufacturing, art, medicine, and the domestic realm. With fast, customized, and inexpensive products, 3D printing is poised to bring about a sea change in contemporary culture.
