Biographical Information

The Frieze depicts the U.S. Army Yellow Fever expedition to Cuba led by Dr. Walter Reed in 1899 and the ultimate conquering of Yellow Fever, which marked a turning point in medicine. Featured in the frieze are Walter Reed, James Carroll, Aristides Agramonte, and Jesse W. Lazear.
