Abstract

Clinical trials explore group interventions and are used to determine the safety, effectiveness, and risk–benefit ratio of therapies. Clinical trial planning involves several structural designs. Single-arm, placebo-controlled, crossover, factorial, noninferiority, and diagnostic device validation designs are common ones. Meaningful research requires effective data collecting. Researchers must collect enough data to draw conclusions without overburdening participants and personnel. Primary, secondary, and nonoutcome data may be collected. After deciding what data to collect, researchers must choose a technique. Surveys, interviews, and examinations collect data. All have pros and cons, thus they must be employed based on the experiment.
