Abstract
Providing patient-centric care is a top priority in health care. Current health care is delivered by multidisciplinary, distributed teams who rely on teamwork and communication to ensure effectual and safe patient care. Mutual respect, trust, and closed-loop communication are the foundation for successful units. With increasing sophistication and burgeoning subspecialization of skillsets, the current radiology workflow demands effective communication and teamwork between medical imaging staff and nursing to reliably deliver optimal patient care. Ensuring all team members are working toward the same goal in this process is important.
