Abstract

Cutaneous adnexal tumors within the CYLD tumor spectrum, including cylindromas and spiradenomas, are uncommon and may present with recurrent disease that complicates diagnosis and management. Accurate recognition of characteristic clinical and histopathologic findings is important for establishing the diagnosis, guiding genetic evaluation, and planning long-term follow-up. We describe a patient with extensive, cutaneous adnexal tumors affecting multiple anatomical sites. Clinical assessment and histopathologic examination revealed features consistent with cylindromas and spiradenomas, supporting the involvement of the CYLD tumor spectrum and raising concerns for Brooke-Spiegler syndrome. The patient’s clinical course was marked by tumor recurrence, requiring ongoing dermatologic care and surgical intervention. This case highlights that recognizing the characteristic clinicopathologic constellation of CYLD-related adnexal tumors is essential for accurate diagnosis, multidisciplinary treatment, and long-term surveillance.
