Abstract
In this chapter, we apply the opponent motivation shift model combined with learning principles to foster therapeutic change. The OPT formulation may facilitate insight and therapeutic compliance. We focus on the amelioration of symptoms in psychiatric disorders addressed in earlier chapters.
