Abstract
The femoral artery undergoes many morphological angiogenic changes before its final development. Three regions of the embryo are involved in arterial development: the anterior, posterior, and middle (Lederle et al. 2019). The anterior region is the most complex, with six aortic arches; the middle region undergoes fusion of the two aortae to form the final thoracic and abdominal aorta; the posterior region is the least complex, and the femoral artery develops here (Lederle et al. 2019).
