Abstract
In an effort to advance fracture healing, techniques of internal and external fracture immobilization have been paired with properly timed transmission of physiologic forces across fracture sites. Adjunctive treatment options, such as bone stimulators, have also been used in an attempt to stimulate normal fracture healing in delayed unions and nonunions.
