Abstract
Highlights: PH patients completed STOP-Bang, Epworth Sleepiness Scale and referred for PSG. STOP-Bang had 81% sensitivity and 43% specificity for predicting sleep apnea. Adding serum bicarbonate to STOP-Bang score improved specificity to 79%. Epworth Sleepiness scale performed poorly as a screening tool (12.5% sensitivity). PSG attendance was low (30/102 referred). OSA was common (52% tested positive).
