The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Graduate Studies in New Orleans was founded in 1965 with the creation of the Medical Center as a separate campus from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. It offers a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences as well as PhDs in the following fields: Biochemistry; Cell Biology and Anatomy; Human Genetics; Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology; Neuroscience; Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics; and Physiology.
